H-K107: asleep in Gethsemane's garden (for John Lindus)
Do not cry for me, Mother, seeing me in the grave.
This greatest hour was hallowed and thandered
By angel’s choirs; fire melted sky.
He asked his Father:”Why am I abandoned…?”
And told his Mother: “Mother, do not cry…”
Magdalena struggled, cried and moaned.
Peter sank into the stone trance…
Only there, where Mother stood alone,
None has dared cast a single glance.
(Anna Akhmatova )

thankyou K. it was a beautiful day – soft light after rain – but i am a complete baby in cemeteries. one of those tedious people that cry over people they’ve never met. terrible! i think some of these photos only worked because the weather, the light, the cemetery made me so sad – and it must’ve infected my camera somehow :)

Tell me, Judith; why are you so deeply sadly entranced? You know where to find me.
