Oh – the 50D is excellent! I have a Sony Alpha 350… considered the ‘upper enthusiast range’ and ‘lower professional range’ camera. I find the Sony very good – they inherited the Minolta brand and technology – though I am now finding that the crucial thing is to obtain ‘good enough’ lenses…

O – the A 350 seemed VERY expensive to me at the time… but now… my standards have changed and it really is at the very lowest range of what I would consider ‘acceptable’ now… (One day I’ll be rich and will buy myself a full pro level top of the range camera… LOL)
