I’ve noticed that on class of very fine images seem to me to be clean. I don’t know how to describe what I mean by that except to say that this is one of those where there is simply nothing between me and a door to imagination and feelings. It is without seams nor veils… the suggestions, clues, signs are all sharp and obvious… clean.

Maybe it has to do with the direction, “Go ahead take it. You’ve got a clean shot.” Well here you’ve taken it, it was, and it hit …. cleanly.
