An itinerant philosopher struggling to transcend the limitations of truth, beyond the realm of action, and into the domain of beauty, I’ve had a certain limited success with black and white photography. I see the art as capturing a moment of beauty for a little while longer in the public view, and in a more public way that it might linger in memory.

I’m not really big on titles—I don’t connect “meaning” to art (perhaps because I’m not skilled enough), so the titles are just whatever I felt like calling a photograph at the moment. Feel free to make up your own titles, or suggest better ones.

Most of the work you’ll see at this point is old photography from high-school and college, when I had access to a darkroom. I scanned it in from the original prints, and haven’t done much but crop it. Yes, I know there are fingerprints on ‘em, and it annoys me, but the originals are 3,000 miles away from me, so we’ll just have to deal with it, now won’t we? Trust me, it annoys me more than it does you.

If you’re on the East Coast and have a dark room and feel like putting up with me for a few days, maybe we can work something out.
