From the ‘sleeping beauties’ series this work explores the convoluted paths upon which we dream. This work is about that soft and drifting state between being awake and dreaming; a place where the lines are often blurred.

This work was created using watercolour pencils (dry) on a coloured and textured art board.

I use the medium which best expresses the subject and style of presentation that tells the story best.’
My portrayals of the fairer sex explore society’s perceptions of women in a light-hearted approach. Relationships also supply fascination and subject matter. The battle of the sexes was ‘never fairer fought’ than in one of these intriguing glimpses. The element of fantasy is a theme throughout my work giving the ordinary an altogether different slant.
