Us Teenagers
Just something of a vent about how adults sometimes underestimate teenagers, what we’re capable of, how we feel, etc. A lot of the time we should be taken much more seriously…anywho, enjoy :)
Us Teenagers belongs to the following groups:
# 1 ARTISTS OF REDBUBBLE , ! Creative Writing & Poetry !, "Poetry and Beautiful Women" , All Around the Styles, All Out Emotion and On YouthWe all may be young
But we understand
The hardships of life
Maybe not all
Quite as much as others;
But we manage
We may not be old
Nor full of wisdom;
We may also not be perfect
Or valedictorian
Or have perfect morals
But the one thing most of us have
Despite their bashing comments
Despite their un-altering egos
Dooming powerfully over us
And our young hearts
Is our genuine love
Our genuine loyalty
Our genuine lives
In which most of us truly mean things
And despite their hatred on us
Despite their critical comments
Their thinking that they’re always right
They just burn out the passion
And make us lose control
And I feel as though I can no longer grab onto
My younger years
So I block them out
As I take his hand
I turn them around
As I wipe a best friend’s tears
I glare at them meaningfully
As I write these words
I laugh out loud
As I write what feels true
Ignoring their comments
Calling us immature
And insignificant
I push them away
For adults aren’t always perfect
In what they say
About
Us teenagers.

Sadly some things don’t change. I remember feeling the same way and know that I’m most likely doomed to repeat these mistakes when I become a parent of teenagers. Keep writing. :-)

Man I can so totally relate…Come on guys! fight back! we can show them that we’re not children anymore! We may not be as wise as some older people but we can be damn cunning…

I hate it when people think teenagers are horrible. everyone has to be one at some point in their life! I was about to open a door for a teacher the other day coz I was walking into the building and she had a box of stuff but before i could do it another teacher screamed at me to open the door. i was going to do it anyway! they dont even give us a chance to prove ourselves.
