Hi all you fellow bubblers out there. Its been an immense pleasure joining this website. It has opened up a whole new world for me. I used to be a Dessert Chef and Cold Larder cook before I retired. My eldest daughter cultivated my interest in photography when she took a photographic course for three years. She used me bounce her ideas on and off and along the way I became more interested in the subject. I already had a passion for Nature but trying to figure out out apertures and shutter speeds was a whole new language for me. Some of her teachings must have rubbed off though because I have gone from film, which I vowed I would stick to for ever, to digital which now, I would hate to not have.I now use a Canon 350 D and A Canon 400 D, A tamron converter, A canon 18-35 lense, a Canon 90- 300 lense, I had heaps of other gear cokin filters etc which I gave to my daughter when she came for a visit. She now has two film cameras plus all her digital gear so at least she is well equipped. She told me about Red bubble and talked me into joining.I must add its been the best thing I have done for a long time. I also have a tiny little Fuji finepix A 900 which is invaluable. I just love it for its size and convenience. My other interests are art, pointillism, in pen and ink, poetry.

I finally landed one and reeled him in, a nice Brown he was, you should have seen my grin.
Swiftly, my mate dropped his trou,( I can still see this vision, even now,) jumped into the river, he was going to show me, I don’t know how.
No one knew if a Ranger was in our midst,so caution was added to our fishing tryst.
For my efforts, I was rewarded, that made me smirk. A card of Metal Spinners to top up my gear, left me grinning from ear to ear.
In one season on the Mataura, Vibeke bagged thirty four, for a little girl, with an eager heart, that was a good score.
We had our operations on the same day, I recovered quickly, with you, a small delay.
