The foxglove always reminds me of my childhood, for the nearby woods were always full of them at this time of year. Why do children, me included, always want to push a tiny finger inside one of their flower heads?
As I wanted the pink flower to stand out, I have removed its original background and replaced it with a black one.

foxglove, flower, flora, pink, photo manipulation

I live in sunny Southampton,England with my wife June. Retired, I am able to dedicate more time to my hobbies and interests, which are, photography, photo manipulation, cooking, gardening, reading, sightseeing, chess, painting, a variety of music and computing.
Up until I was fifteen, I was known as Les, and as I lived in Hooton in the Wirral, I became known as Les from Hooton, hence my pseudonym “Hootonles”. Since my leaving Hooton I have preferred to use my middle Christian name John.
