Gold Hill, brought to prominence by a TV advertisement for Hovis bread, is a picturesque collection of pretty cottages adorning a steep, cobbled street in Shaftesbury.
In the past, I have sat and sketched this scene, and photographed it many times, but here, for a change, I have altered one of my photographs digitally in Adobe Elements, attempting to give it a more artistic look.

In the past I have enjoyed watercolour and acrylic painting; ran my own small pottery for many years, however my favourite genre now, and one which has virtually taken over my life, is photography and digital manipulation. To improve this aspect of my life, I took a short online ten-week Open University course, T189 Digital photography: creating and sharing better images, in which, I am pleased to say, I excelled.
