In the past I have enjoyed watercolour and acrylic painting; ran my own small pottery for many years, however my favourite genre now, and one which has virtually taken over my life, is photography and digital manipulation. To improve this aspect of my life, I took a short online ten-week Open University course, T189 Digital photography: creating and sharing better images, in which, I am pleased to say, I excelled.

The interesting thing is that ancient Greek and Roman statues such as this (or the original model for this) were painted, sometimes very vividly, to look “real/alive” – - so you really were “bringing the past to life!!”
