A small, insignificent shelf in the corner of a small local church, Rome, Italy. A very simple object, but it facinated me, somehow full of meaning….
What do we think ?
Many thanks to the Other Side of Italy group for the feature (October 2010).

ah – somewhere to leave a piece of ourselves in the peace of the church? maybe the piece with all those worries that don’t need to be worried about? Beautiful lighting and depth in such a simple design.

you have an eye for detail…and for essential simplicity …(in churches most welcome, I find …did you perhaps visit Le Corbusier’s Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp (France) ? A wonderful experience , simplicity-wise !). ! :))
many thanks anne, always appreciate your kind words and visits.regards,h

I love that you took something seemingly simple and turned it into something extra-ordinarily great! Your vision here is amazing h, love the light and tones. Has a god like / godless sense about it, depending which way you want to look at it.
Yes, love that “god/godless” analogy, it was gem of a find.Cheers,H
