1920's

1920's

I wanted to re-create one of those “classic” scenes of New York in the roaring 20’s. Dug out some of my old (well, relatively) images of Times Square and picked up the mouse…..

Did I succeed? The decision is yours…….

Lets see, are we looking at the place John Doe went when he was exposed as a fraud and wanted to commit suicide , are those lights searching for King Kong who just stole his dream Doll or are we about to hear the latest from Duke Ellington and Glen Miller, anyway I know may West don’t live there, and I do like your idea and it’s result.

  • hologram replied

Very good, lol ! I suppose a bit of all of the above ;-)

Huge success mate! This is one of those shots that is overall incredible without needing analysis. Spotlights, the slight touch of sepia all take this one right back to the 20s mate. I’m seeing a really busy night with electric atmosphere.. someone important is here for the first time and everyone’s excited about it!

  • hologram replied

Yip, those thoughts pretty much encompass the idea behind a big night out in the “apple”, in those heady years.. Thanks for the visits.
