Heed the Angel's Call

To wake up to the sweet smell of deception,
To devour the forbidden fruit,
That’s certainly the way to live.

To graciously accept a bouquet of false flowers,
And to sleep on a bed of lies,
Is the only way to live.

Let the cobwebs grow in the corner of the room,
Push the skeleton deeper into the closet,
Switch on you smile and turn it off when no one is watching.

Decay is attracted to deception and the forbidden,
Death thrives on falseness and lies,
The Grim Reaper thrives on both.

Knock, knock. Who’s there? Bang, bang. I’m coming!

Door opens, heel seeps in, darkness everywhere.

Deception dies and the fruit rots.
Disloyalty turns to dust and lies burst into flame.
The room is overrun with spiders,
And the skeleton escapes, seeking retribution.

The souls of the tormented wail,
The bodies of the weak collapse,
The minds of the sly fail.

Heed the Angel’s call.

One chance, one last chance.
Redemption is a lifetime away.
Fight the urge of deception, resist the temptation of the forbidden.

Heed the Angel’s call.

The flames flicker, flicker ever so slowly.
Listen carefully.
Throw away the false flowers, dump the bed of lies.

Heed the Angel’s call.

Or death will come knocking.
