I’ve yet to find the name of this little potted flower as there was no name on it when I bought it. I just liked the way the petals had a silky look to them.
This sure looks like a Hibiscus to me. Holly, this one has a flow like the sea with waves of light coming down the petals and stopping at the stamen. Your treatment of light and depth of field is awesome and amazing.
“Waves of light” is a beautiful description. Thank you so much Carolyn. If I can bring that kind of interpretation of light to a photograph I am greatly encouraged!
they do look silky, and this flower looks enormous with this perspective and DOF! great work!

Could be a hibiscus as Carolyn says. I’ve got a red one in a pot and it’s similar but, whatever it it is, it’s very beautiful.
truly a lovely image…Bert
