Magnolias bloom for such a short time and when their petals fall the ground is carpeted with pale pink. What a delightful sight.
A couple of streets away from me there is a house with the most lustrous magnolias and each spring when they’re in bloom I make a point of driving by just to see the show. I have yet to work up the nerve to knock on the door and ask if I can set up my tripod in their front garden. :-)
These magnolias were in a lakeshore park last spring in late May when I spotted them one morning just after sunrise. What a glorious sight the tree was when I came around a bend and saw the way the light made flowers seem to glow. Holly :-) MyWebsite

Thanks Michael! Flowers are such an interesting challenge….whether it’s the compostion, focus or the background. I’m glad you think it works. :-)
