Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah! Holly, you are seated on the throne of Still Life! Ohhhh, this is absolutely beautiful! You DO tell a story here with the cracked eggs, the porcelain like shells, the rooster/chicken looking at the bowl of eggs. Love the lights and textures, why everything about it. May I be Pres of your fan club?
LoL ….LoL…..thanks Carolyn!! :-D What a wonderfully enthusiastic and encouraging comment!!!! Can’t stop grinning!!! :-D :-D
Wow these layers are working really well on your shots you seems to be able to find the right stuff for the right shot although I guess there is a lot of work going on in the background. You are making them look effortless which is what is needed to produce such great piece’s – great lighting too and inventive title :) it’s not quite the crack here but early .
What a great comment HH….thank you so much for that! This one has 7 layers of texture. I’ve been studying the textures for layers that are available and then making my own from scratch with brushes and light (from the render filter)….and a photograph of plain wall paint with the macro lens. It’s amazing how much texture there is in paint that’s been rolled on the wall.

Neat how the cracks in the porcelain glaze match the cracks in the shells. Beautiful light and colours.
I am so glad I found you Holly, your images just lead the way in still life thanks
Thank you Kathryn….and I can happily return the compliment. I hadn’t seen your gallery before this morning and it’s been a real treat browsing through your beautiful work!!!

Awww…thanks Jan! These are the exact colours in my kitchen so this might be the one I finally get printed and hung. :-)
