Frosted Corn Husk
I was out very, very early this morning and there was a beautiful coating of frost everywhere. A local farm has been sold and is being prepared for a housing development (there’s a LOT of that happening in this area) and in the remains of last year’s corn there were most interesting patterns of frost on the dried husks. The light was quite golden and still very low which accounts for the colouring of this.

Beautifully composed and presented. Isn’t it amazing the little treasures we find in our path if we look with our hearts and lens instead of our eyes? Even though the husk is dried, the life of the frost makes this a wonderful contrast of nature. Wonderful work Holly.

That’s lovely holly, the colours are lovely and the lighting picks out the different shades of brown beautifully.
