Ruffles
Plants and flowers are such fun. They come in so many shapes and varieties and I just love it when other people do the gardening so I can come along and get photographers of their hard labour! :-D
Flowering Kale has become quite popular in recent years and I like the way it ruffles up the garden in late summer. It’s an interesting contrast somehow to think of the very prosaic cabbage suddenly a girlie addition to the garden.

Ruffles belongs to the following groups:

Oh very beautiful! Wow – such vibrant colour too! Maybe I’ll have to plant some of this! I like how you filled your frame- the diagonal ruffles are perfect.

Beautiful imagery Holly. The ruffles remind me of a flamenco dancer’s skirt. Yes, it is girlie and I love it!

Holly, you are the only person I know that can take a cabbage and make it look absolutely beautiful. I’m gobsmacked.

Holly this is absolutely beautiful…I love how it fills the whole frame. The color is amazing!

Thanks Jan!
I was thinking I’m going to plant some too since I’m mentally planning the spring planting season today. I’ve never had these in the garden myself but I think it’s time.

What a great comparison Carolyn! I hadn’t thought of it quite like that but now that you’ve said it I can hear the castanets! :-D

Thank you Gene! This was actually taken at a public garden in front of a rather large theatre. All over the piazza there were beautifully dressed people and there I was in my ‘photography clothes’ (read that as very grubby gardening type things) with the camera and kneeling in the dirt. Sometimes ya just have to leave the pride locked up at home. LoL

Beautiful….nicely done…kneeling in the dirt…I had to lay in mud to get one shot! Funny what we will do to capture what we see!! Great work!

LoL Jody! I’ve done that a few times too and even had someone come over to me and ask if I was okay. She told me she thought I was having a heart attack or something. :-D
