For many years the greatest minds in science have been searching for a theory of everything to explain our universe. I have a theory of everything – well everything human that is. There are four forces that at work in the human universe. They are:

(1) egocentricity
(2) greed
(3) false consensus
(4) love

EGOCENTRICITY

The egocentric force is the nucleus of the human particle. All other things in the universe revolve around the individual. The individual is the central core of all things great and small, good and bad, healthy and ill. Egocentricity is composed of smaller particles known as, intolerance, apathy, hate, bigotry, cruelty, and violence. Egocentricity draws all other forces inward to the individual, that is the nucleus of matter in the human universe.

GREED

The egocentric force has a strong attraction to the greed force. Egocentricity is bound inextricably to greed. The more the greed force has the more it desires. Greed is a force without boundary. The larger the sphere of influence of the egocentric force, the stronger the greed force becomes, and consequently the further its sphere of influence reaches out into the human universe.

FALSE CONSENSUS

This force is quite powerful, and is strongly tied to the egocentric force. The false consensus force results in human beings incorrectly presuming that their way of thinking is more prevalent in the human universe that it really is. This force causes human beings to hold the false believe that those who disagree with their opinions, beliefs, or values must be defective in their thinking. False consensus works in conjunction with and reinforces the egocentric force.

LOVE

This is the most powerful force in the human universe. The love force is composed of particles which include, tolerance, equality, understanding, empathy, generosity, forgiveness, hope, and compassion. Love serves as the anchor in human relationships, and balances the negative effects of the other three forces. The positive polarity of love pushes against negative forces of egocentricity, greed and false consensus and achieves a precarious balance. Without love the human universe would collapse in on itself.

CONCLUSION

Many observers have reported a weakening of the love force in recent years. This weakening has resulted in a global economic crisis as the greed force expands, increased acts of genocide, homicide, and crimes against women and children as the egocentric particles of apathy, hate, bigotry, cruelty, and violence increase in influence, and the spread of poverty and hunger as the egocentric particles of apathy increase in number and force.

There is only one way to turn back the ever increasing strength of the first three forces in the human universe: increase the power of love.

It is up to each human element to contribute to the power of love. When you disagree with another human being, demonstrate tolerance. Require equality of treatment for all persons regardless of race, sex, age, ability, gender, sexual orientation, sexual preference, or choice in a life partner. Practice understanding of our differences and promote diversity. Teach your heart to feel empathy for those who are suffering. Treat all persons generously and do not begrudge the poor a little help for their survival. Practice forgiveness in reality not just in theory. Lip service to the idea of forgiveness is insufficient to expand the power of love. Speak of hope for a better future not just for your own egocentric self, but for all human beings. And finally, treat all people with compassion.

It is up to each and every one of us to increase the power of love so that it at the very least balances the negative forces of the human universe. It is my personal hope that we can all increase the power of love, one small particle at a time, to overwhelm the negative forces and create a new human universe where there is only one force – LOVE.

Probably the best scientific explanation of humans in emotional terms. (if that makes sense) This is brilliant, genius. Love this!

You are one very amazing woman…...this reads like a testimony for living in these modern times…...and how we can all simply but honestly make a change for the better, make a difference…..starting with ourselves. Beautiful powerful writing….
“Only when we realize that our love is greater than all our fears and behaviours, will we know true freedom”

Interesting theory indeed. The dualistic approach to TOE Human is anchored in the four dimensional and causal world, a never-ending push-pull between yin and yang which gives the “human system” a pulsating effect. Perhaps, a more potent and longer lasting approach would be to execute change through connectivity to the (undivided) Source of All.
How this can be done is another story. As one “guy” is often quoted to have said: “You can never solve a problem on the level on which it was created”... and that’s my half cent of ad hoc contribution to the subject matter.

... Helen, I really love your thoughtful writing here and I am so grateful for people like yourself who are on the active side of the infinity. Thank you from the heart my friend.

Very interersting, sadly, you seem to be right! I wrote a poem which relates very much to the three negative forces you wrote about, sadly, I can’t seem to find the inspiration to write something about love; however I (hopefully ) convey love through my art… it’s certainly something we need more of!
I sincerely hope people get your message and learn to love more, as John Lennon said, “Say the word and you’ll be free” :D

  • H M Bascom replied

The John Lennon quote is perfect. Thank you.

It’s a good theory Helen though there seems little hope of enough love to eliminate the negative forces. It’s a damn shame really but while an increase in love may improve matters for a while, it usually seems cyclic and sooner or later the pendulum swings back again. If only humans were intelligent beings we could learn from history :-()

  • H M Bascom replied

Sad, but true. That’s why I settle for a balance, and hope for a better future. xoxo

it’s a theory. That’s the problem with theories. My theory of economic ecology has culture, knowledge, information, art and anti art as its main components. Will release on red bubble sometime soon.
