Copyright Questions

I received an inquiry regarding copyright and fair use, again. A member asked me how is it that some material is removed from RedBubble due to copyright infringement while other material is not removed. I have decided to respond here for the benefit of any member who may be pondering the same question.…

The member was particularly concerned that a photograph of a poster has been removed as a copyright infringement, but images like my work The New Face of America and Imagine Hope are not removed.

The answer to this question can be found in the doctrine of fair use (called the doctrine of fair dealing outside the United States).

The New Face of America is a collage of photographs (not taken by me) that I created as a social commentary on the result of the recent U.S. presidential election
