Time Is Relative
This past weekend we experienced the most lovely and temperate weather. I decided to take Malcolm out to play. Of course I have to take my camera and my tripod. I am gathering up my stuff and Malcolm is growing impatient.
“C’mon Mom! Let’s go! Let’s go!” he insists.
“I’m coming Malcolm,” I tell him. “Hold on.”
Finally I get my stuff together and as I open the door I tell him, “You must learn patience Malcolm. It only took about 3 minutes for me to get ready.”
“Yeah,” he says. “But it was the longest 3 minutes of my life!”
Ah, to be age 4 years again. :-)

Four going on 50. He’s so cute! Wait until he’s 5. They seem to have the best material when they’re 5 years old. Makes you wonder who writes their material. LOL!

The secret to happiness I believe is finding that place where 3 minutes is a lifetime again! This little face really makes me smile. :o)

I wish 3 minutes were longer. Then I’d have more time in the day. I say let’s Malcomize the minutes!
F.A. Moore
That should be Malcolmize the minutes, but you know what I mean. lol.

He’s one smart Kid Helen…. of course (and simply beautiful… isn’t it the most wonderful thing to have the eyes of a mother?) :)))
bdazzled
He’s a charmer for sure – you should write down all the funny and clever things he says and make a book of it.
As for time it’s a very interesting subject. I can see when i read up that others than myself have found it to go faster the older we get. It’s like a Roller coaster going down faster and faster with no stop og even pause button.

Oh yes, this is familiar indeed. so innocent, so pure, so completely honest and up front. This is exactly why our children are the biggest treasures of all.

And I have a question Helen.
Why oh why would he need to learn patience with a face like that? Just one look, will melt any heart – he will never need patience :)

Oh my, oh my – what a beautiful photo and tale.
Gorgeous capture xoxo

It is always relative. The fact that years seem to go faster as you get older is a representation of the fact that every year becomes less of a percentage of your life thoughts and memories and therefore less significant as a whole.
