Long Time Coming

I finally convinced my husband, Jay, to sing a little ditty for one of my videos. I think he did a great job. Enjoy.

    what a powerful collaboration! Jay’s voice is amazing! It touches the soul….and coupled with these images, produces a haunting statement.
    (When the images of Malcolm appeared, hearing Jay’s voice singing in the background, somehow I ended up in tears…..)

    Thanks Wendy. I could only get Jay to do one take, so I had to make sure I got the sound right. I was going for an echo kinda voice in an empty warehouse sound. I think it turned out pretty good.

    He did that song without any rehearsal at all Sally. Can you believe it? One take – he said, “Let’s do this . . .” and just sang the song for me. It took me weeks to get him to sit still long enough to do it.

    Thank you Lisa. I’m going to try to get him to sing a bunch of tracks for future projects. He can really sing when he wants to do it.

    That was a great collaboration Helen,Jay has a beautiful soulful voice. It’s very smooth and gentle. Not so easy to do without a beat either. Tell him it was wonderful. You two did a great job on this !
