Helen, this is a wonderful image of a culture that was. I feel the desolate cold and find my eyes drawn to the lively reflection in the windows of the tired old behemoth.

I like your work (otherwise I would not leave comment, due time constraints).
Below my reasons for it and my honest opinion.
Please don’t feel de-motivated if some honest feedback is given.
I always mean it in a positive way. And in all, it’s just my perception anyway.
Impact (does it grab attention?): Yes, very strong
Composition (use of space, lines): Smack in the middle, but works with this frame
Subject matter: Very good
Focal point: Very superb
Style (story): Superb, such a story of how soemthing so powerful decayed..
Lighting: Superb use of natural light
Color balance: Good effect.
General: Superb frame.

randmphotos, 8 months ago
A really great picture, both technically and artistically, however I appreciate the irony of the title/subject. I feel for the occupants and, wherever they are now, may they be as warm and as happy as circumstances permit. Great photojournalism, Helen.
Helen Bascom in reply to randmphotos’s comment, 8 months ago
I often wonder about the owners of the house and bus. I become emotionally attached to the subjects of my work.
