His eyes look human! That’s unreal (although I do love looking into a dog’s eyes).

There is intelligence and emotions in the eyes of a dog. :-)

To me this has a certain melancholy, his eyes look sad and pleading to be let out at life. (I’m never above a bit of athropomorphizing!!)
    Very poignant and beautiful, Helen.

A bit of anthropomorphizing is good for both us and the animal. :-)

The look that goes right into your soul

He was just pleading with those eyes.

Your Title reminds me of the song by Boney M ‘Brown Girl in The Ring’ its like the first line!!
The photograph itself doesn’t have any connection with the song though.
The photograph has a sad feeling, the poor dog’s trapped behind the fence. His eye’s look sad as if he wants to come over for a hug but knows he cant get out.
I like the shot enough to fav it, its top quality Helen!!

Thank you Robin. He sure wanted to get across to our side and play with Malcolm. A dog needs a boy in his life. xoxo
