Two and a half million rural children, a fifth of all rural children, live in poverty, compared to 15 percent for children living in metropolitan areas. One in five rural children lived in food insecure households in 2000—food insecurity and hunger are more prevalent in rural America than in the nation as a whole.

the title is beautiful, the message is frightening…...what irony! Great work Helen and horribly thoughtprovoking from poverty in the USA to worldwide poverty and lack.
What truly scares me is it seems that globally, our food producers are so caught up trying to make an income in whatever way the multinationals let them, that so few are actually producing REAL FOOD anymore…...governed by their need to survive, it is all GMO or seedless produce, or crops for biofuels for wealthy vehicle owners…..somewhere the whole planet is going to realize there is no food being produced and SOMEONE out there hold the seeds/keys to our future.
