Rural Industry
Why are children hungry in America? The goal of American farm policy should be to promote sustainable agriculture, reduce hunger, and eliminate food insecurity. It makes no sense that any person in America should ever go to sleep hungry.

You know Helen I’m so happy you posted this…I think the same exact thing…not just america but everywhere. It kills me to think about…and it’s reality we must face. What I wonder is why all these restaraunts throw away so much extra food on a daily basis when it can actually be given to help starvation. sigh ok I got off track, but it really saddens me…well done with the shot and definately love the concept!

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to the foundations of our economy … those industries that could be considered foundational. And farming is certainly one of them. But do farmers get the recognition they deserve … not in my view. Imagine a world without corporate lawyers … with apologies to all corporate lawyers I think we’d still get along okay … and I suspect we’d solve our corporate disputes more efficiently. Now image a world without farmers. Disaster. It’s good to be reminded of such important industries … and to be called to spend more time thinking about them. Great image.

Love those clouds, that sky is fantastic, wonderful shot

The clouds are out of this world,no pun intended.

yes, i so agree. There is so much production, but everything get traded for profit by big global companies.
Just on the news I overheard a statement from Air New Zealand to increse the prices to compensate for possible lower profits in 10 years time…
Now think about that one…
Another airliner reacted by saying..what? we having top profits at the moment…
It makes you think how easy it is for global companies to rip us off. Just a bullshit staement that profits in 10 years (!!!) might be under pressure can be a reason to raise profit now.
Thinking of it, it would matters even worse because higher profits now makes the concern only bigger… so they.. etc etc
There is no end to greed
