my little girl Gracie and Arlie the dog checking out a perfect misty winters morning together.

Some notes on the shot. This is amongst the first of the images I shot experimenting with “uni white balance”. Once I have it properly worked it out it will dominate my shooting style I think. Its is a powerful method for optimising file quality.

Shot near Meadows in the Fleurieu ranges

lovely shot Tim ! I look fwd to reading more about this ‘uni white balance’.
    cheers,

Thanks Tony! UniWB is a method of optimising exposure by using the camera RGB histogram. The uni WB gives an accurate histogram allowing better judgement of highlight clipping. Thats a simple explanation and to be honest a poor one. Better explanations on the web! In short it seems to work for me with cleaner images and better DR. More work and post processing but I love that anyways.

Thanks Jesika :-) I like the way you write “a dog and HIS child”. Thats pretty true!! Although he’s a she and a fantastic dog. See above for my terrible description on uniWB

Now I’ve read it, I wish I hadn’t asked!!!!!LOL Anyway, point, click, hope cameras don’t have fancy twiddly bits like that – I think….......
Thanks for telling me, I don’t think I’ll pursue it further.
