Originally from Margaret River, situated in the south west of western Australia. my family moved there from Perth Western Australia when I was about three years old, when my father was transferred due to the nature of his work, that dealt with lives stock.
understandably I believe that growing up in the “bush” has an influence on my art.

I now consider Perth my home after moving here in 1980, when I was Twenty years old, I love to paint the city of Perth and the surrounding areas, but I also Like to paint the scenery around the south west, not only because it is such beautiful area, but also I feel I have an affinity with it.

I have always had a strong interest in art, and I was the best male artist in 3rd year High school however I did not start painting prolifically or selling my art untill 1996 at the age of 35 and I developed a passion for it. over the past 3 years I have exhibited my art in community art shows, and I have had a successful first solo art exhibition. In the past I have managed to procure some small commissions and have sold some of my origional work. My passion is the Austrailan landscape I love to paint my surroundings, every day life scenes, incorporating architecture, wild life, and figurative work as necessary, fascinated by our ever changing multi cultural society in our every day lives, and beliefs.

The main medium I use, is oil paint on canvas because it gives me the all round flexibility I desire, although occasionally I paint with acrylic on canvas or Ink on paper. However I have also used pastel chalks in my earlier works, with some good out comes.
