When the tide goes out on the Solway Firth, it goes out a looooong way, leaving acres of red mud. You can walk out to this island at low tide. This view is from the village of Rockcliffe in Dumfries and Galloway and the original sketch was done early in the morning. This is the second version. The first was done in pastel but I like this stronger acrylic version better.
