Base of the Elephant tree.
I wanted you to see the Base of the Elephant tree. You can have no conception of how huge it is from this picture, but if I tell you both myself and my friend can sit comfortably on one of the knobby bits at the bottom it give you some idea. It is a fantastic tree for meditating under and if you look up it goes on for ever. I love trees and I think this is my very favourite.

Is this in your garden Hilary ? If so your garden must be massive , you should take some pictures of the whole garden.
hilarydougill replied
No sweetheart, it is in the ground of Egglestone Hall, you know Laddets to ladies? wish it was my garden, but, there is no way I would have time to be on here. haha

This is so special Hilary, and I can see why its called the elephant tree. Trees that have been here for this long, deserve to be encapsulated and permanently preserved in an art form – Well done for doing that.
