Packhorse Bridge, Carrbridge by

Packhorse Bridge in the centre of the Highland village of Carrbridge was built in 1717 to enable funeral processions from the south to cross the river while spate. It is the oldest stone bridge in Scotland and although it withstood the great flood of 1829 it suffered damage when it had its parapets washed away.
