"Aren't we the keepers of our brother's hope?"

I am a gay homophobe,
I have been an introverted extrovert,
I’ve known many multi-national racists,
I slept with the virgin whore,
I see the truth within the atheist’s heart…
the light he won’t recognize,
and I’ve seen the orphan’s parents
live their lives for death’s grip,
the widow as a loving wife
for the bastard’s son,
the insight to life felt as
intuitively as the sense
death comes for us all…
the graves of people laid down
to rest, side by side, with the ones
that hated them for the lives they lived,
can the reach of God touch
man’s heart before the day
to pass the gate… man’s judgement
to worry and wrinkle his brow?
The reflection in the mirror to
cause the age to see what was
not there before or feel the changes
time brings to bear and confound the
truths of old to new light and mortality,
our own hand is where the love of
God should be found… and when it
is known to share the bounty,
to lift the souls of those around us…
this the time God smiles and heaven
shall open… sending the angels to
preserve that which is His… to lie down
in pastures green… to Canaan come.

All humanity is the field, the task is to plow the field and give all the need to find growth… or to perish from want unrealized as the chance to rest in the greenest of pastures; the desire God has for us all.

“our own hand is where the love of God should be found…” Amen. In this you have answered your own question, Russell, and very beautifully too. xox

  • I thank you for your lovely comment Lianne, and attempt to show people where God can be found and who needs Him. The answer is us all… as it has always been and shall always be.

LOVE THE DUALITY OF THIS PIECE! IT’S UP TO EACH INDIVIDUAL TO MAKE CHOICES BASED ON FREE WILL…..ANOTHER THOUGHT PROVOKING RIGHT RUSSELL!!!

  • Newest and dearest friend, I’m glad you like it Ray… it has always been about choice, and that has been given us wisely through free will.
