From the long night of captivity to the long day… the day where, still, we battle with: poverty, racism and militarism, the very three (3) evils Dr. King spoke of, in his,I have a dream (read here or heard)
speech. It seems so long ago… to speak so lightly of it today is to seek injustice from his great sacrifice… those days of selfless goals to be realized, back in 1963, to affect the whole of our American fabric, this quilt of freedom. Have we truly found the the solid rock of brotherhood in this country… with all the vitriol thrown from the right, not only to disgrace a man from the ‘other party’ but one of color and one of King’s own people. Even with the rise to the sunlit path of racial justice, the treasury has been raided by those before this President had obtained office… the checks still bear the marks of “insufficient funds,” and it would be to convenient to blame the one that follows as the one that did it. This would truly give rise to racial injustice on a grander scale than known before, in this day and age, the longest day to come and be seen from what the newspapers tell us of tomorrow. This is the last great assault on racial justice… or at the very least a mockery of success that can and would be achieved by such a rise to power as has never happened before in U.S. history.
Has militarism lessened during this historic time to suggest the peace desired once the feet reached the palace of justice would find such desire in the American heart… or are we just continuing the same wrongful deeds as Dr. King warned us? When we can see oil companies circle around the fresh kill of Libya, and we know we were involved… our hands not clean, we seek militarism and not its demise. We succumb to the intoxication of power attained and not back down. We have become tranquil from our gains and blinded to the harms of standing for “human rights” and unyielding to corporate interests in profits alone… when it is all said and done- the dust to settle on our dreams.
Has poverty released its chains from us… as we are still bound by lack of working economic sources of labor to be found? Where is the high plane of dignity and discipline Dr. King spoke of? There is no dignity to such suffering… such an ache that wells up from the soul and would devour us all if it is not addressed before we claim we reached our Autumn of freedom and equality. One in four children in the U.S., seventeen million Americans, suffer from what is now termed,“food insecurity,” their parents unsure where their next meal will come from or what it might be. Is this what Dr. King dreamed about? I don’t think so… and I hope you don’t either. Where do you stand?

MY HOPE IS THAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO SEE FOR THEMSELVES THE EVIL LIES AND WORKS OF THE RIGHT FOR WHAT THEY ARE……A PATHETIC, RACIST ATTEMPT TO BLAME PRESIDENT OBAMA FOR EVERTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICA, WHEN IT IS THE RIGHT WHICH HAS CREATED THE CURRENT SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS! BRAVO MY FRIEND YOU TELL IT LIKE IT IS AND I’M SURE THIS TRUTH WILL OFFEND THOSE WHO HAVE THE MOST TO DENY!!!!

YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS, BUT SOME MORONS OVER HERE HAVE STARTED AN….AUSTRALIAN TEA PARTY !!! POLITICS IN THIS COUNTRY HAS SLID DOWN THE SLIMY ROAD OF DENIAL, LIES AND APPEALS TO THE IGNORANT MOB……IN OTHER WORDS, THE SAME OLD EVIL GAMES…..I LOVE YOU TOO BROTHER!!!!!
Russell Holder:
It seems to me the elitists in power, it now matters little to what party or affiliation they declare they have or are… for they do what they damn well want to once they’re in office, are running the same game… look at the actions throughout the world- a push for a one world system. If you think it will be a utopian effort, to keep and have “human rights”… as we are told by groups like the U.N.- guess again. You know where I’m going with this Ray… this too is prophesied in, you guessed it, the Bible.

Every day. more and more, todays America situation is getting closer to the economical, social and political situation of Germany between wars.
This is absolutely Fascism, but not from a minority, sadly, but the majority of the Political Spectrum. No matter the party, those in power are the Corporations, and the Congress only create the conditions of the Corporation to keep growing and growing. Ex-executive and lawyers of huge corporate, having seats in our Congress, Senate and the Supreme Court, how that’s possible?
America today is a combination of 3 realities, I call them the American Trinity. Is base on 3 realities where. The Corporate Government, the Television and the everyday reality we face on the streets. Non goes together, but collide in many points. The Corporate America have their own agendas and uses Television to disguise and dizzy us all the time. The America of the Television, try to meet this Corporate Government close and happy, while give us realities inexistent and away from reality. And the you have the Street AMerica were we try to live like in a Television show, believing the High standard of Moral and Ethics of Corporate Government makes us believe, and crashing, without understand, with the raw reality that we are broke no matter how much we work or how much we pays.
Till we done straighten this multi personality problem, we are digging deeper an deeper into our own dumb. We need to react before is too late. (I hope isn’t late yet.)
(sorry with my grammar, I;m still working on it)
Russell Holder:
Even with the “grammar issue” plainly seen, the points you bring forth on this point to the media acting as our “moral compass,” and the truth is corporations have no morals… when it comes to right and wrong, it is only profit or loss. Not to long ago, when another man was in office, it became a popular idea to “privatize profits and socialize losses.” This meant the corporations would seek profits… and the public would pay if it didn’t reach the goals attained or aspired to. Did anyone care when this notion was placed into affect… to be the situation we have with us today? Thanks for your input here Yago… it means someone is listening to the media and responding to this writing, the credibility factor is then decided by the reader- based on their choice and source of informational bias.

I would add, we need to bring back common sense into the table.
Once my father-in-law told me, don’t worry for what they are saying (media and politics) be worry for what they are not saying. Thank my friend. Love you writings
Russell Holder:
Common sense isn’t common anymore Yago… and people have been desensitized to the turmoils of the world, and the biggest distraction to what is happening on the world scene is the damage in our face at home: economically, socially, morally and spiritually. I do believe Dr. King would recommend, “this nation should repent… and return to the roots of its beginning, one inclusive and in support of all here.”
