My Lady's Estate

The ghoul inside my head,
sleeps in a mansion
in a king sized bed.
So I guess you could say
that she lives comfortably,
but my darling she sure
makes a mess of me.

She drums her fists and feet
upon my skull, singing,
demolish this street.
I apologize quiet;
please dear go back in.
I must wrangle that monster,
but she lives in my skin.

I do my best to suppress her win.

I’m so unknown.
Sometimes it hurts.
To be alone?
Brother, it’s not the worst.
But If I let her roam,
she’ll kill me thrice:
shoot me once in the throat,
choke, and freeze under ice.

My body is not a palace.
It’s a cliff edge shack
that’s built of malice,
and she’s in the den,
with a pen, and a book.
Probably adding to the list
of the ways that I’m shook.

She knows she’s the sharpest hook.
And she knows I’m the fool she took.

Sometimes at night I swear
I hear her singing but no one is there.
It’s nearly more than I can bear.

And I’ve tried to forget
with lust motion in sweat;
left a spiteful taste.
Sex without love was a waste.
Cause you weren’t erased,
or even close to being replaced.
It’s a terrible ache,
I can’t breathe when I break.
I’m a tiny stone sinking
and you’re the lake.
I’m just your mistake.
Let me go for my sake.
Let me go for my sake.
Let me go for my sake.
And leave me feeling awake.
