Surrounded by an atmosphere
of domestic strife
sat a small grey tabby cat in the corner
fearing for her life
The corner of the kitchen
is where she would always stay
to escape the obscenities
that she was exposed to each day
From the shelter to this family
seemed like a stray’s dream come true
but cleaning out the litter
was too offensive for this family to do
So for a cat so tiny
with so much love to give
It became very apparent
She needed somewhere else to live
The children in the family
hardly looked her way
but it appeared that the man of the house
had a soft spot for the stray
So it was a masculine touch
that met with her feline affections
and the relationship blossomed and bloomed.
But the missus was blind
to a relationship of this kind
and soon this affectionate situation was doomed.
So the family had a serious meeting
with much ado about the stray
and it was decided by the missus
that the little cat could not stay
And because they knew I had a love for cats
they turned to me for help that day
and so it was decided right there on the spot
that I would take the little cat away
So no longer was the tiny cat
with the big heart sitting in a corner all alone
but she was introduced to seven more just like her
where she could call this big family her own.
Thank you Tibby for all the joy you gave me.

Wow Hickerson….very powerful!!!!! It takes me back to my first babies! Jack and Sam…. Both unwanted and they had so much love to give….Only they were Collies! I rescued them as well and they stayed with me until the end! I am so glad there are people like you out there!
Donna…Beautiful…beautiful…beautiful….I am so happy that you, too, are someone who has
such a big heart and soul and allows the little lost voices to speak to you…Sally xxoo
