I remember the first time my father took us to NYC to go to FAO Schwarz. It was a magical place that I never forgot. The stuffed animals were larger than life and so when grandpa, my father, took us all back I felt like I was 9 years old. It was over whelming. We spent hours upon hours in there. I like FAO better than Toys R Us. It has an old time charm that feels like magic.
We did the same, but usually ended up buying the toys elsewhere and for less. Kids love the experience however! Too bad the one in Boston closed, it was closer to get to for us.
Yes the toys were very expensive, Meadow got a play dress up dress and my daughter Athena wanted “Kevin” from the movie up. Sebastian was not impressed with their Lego selection, so that is why we headed for Toys R Us the next day.
I never knew they had an FAO in Boston, it’s a shame it closed.
