Hertsman lives in a small town in Hertfordshire 30 miles North of London, England. Working in London, Hertsman travels by train and Underground to travel to his office within 5 minutes walk of Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben and 10 minutes to Buckingham Palace.

Hertsman uses Canon DSLR’s (20D and 40D) to photograph scenic landscape views and abstracts as well as well as transport subjects such as planes, trains and buses.
