New RedBubble layout

I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, wished we could all switch back to the old lay-out. RedBubble has degraded itself to a highly commercial webshop. Art has dropped to second place in the new presentation. Personal comments are no longer the heart of the community.

yep, you got it right ! art is no longer (if it was before) the main concern, but profit and commercial issues. This will only benefit already big sellers on the site. the question should be : how do we help the others to become profitable sellers too ?

  • I personally don’t care about selling. I like to expose my artwork and hear what other people think.
Does this new lay-out help to sell more? I don’t think so.

RedBubble was different from other art sites in the sense of a community feel that drew us here. Now it looks like Ruby lane or DeviantArt. Who would be inspired to buy anymore from a site that looks so Kitsch?

  • Very well put! I agree with you all the way. I hope people will come to their senses soon. This just does not feel right at all.

    Thank you for your response.

This new format does not help us to sell. I’m having a hard enough time as it is, and now it’s worse. Over the years, I find that techies always have to fix things, even when they’re not broke. It’s definitely not about us. i do hope they go back to the previous look.

Much prefer the previous look and feel. The new one may not have the same impact to prospective customers!
