Remember Mumbai.
Those images, the sencelessness?
That bomber in the train station.

Retreats. Recedes. Replaced.

Gaza. Such scenes.
Such hopelessness!
Bombs dropped on a U.N school.

Then fizzles. And fades out. Forgotten.

Two million people huddle united in a sence of hope.

How fickle our news-reels are. One event to replace the last. From our homes on the comfortable and safe side of the tv we can afford to be forgetful. But for those who these events revolve around such inattentivness is not afforded. And then a news story comes to uplift the occident. And the world is well again?

I’m not so positive in this one though i do believe that Barack is a good man. I wonder how much change one man can really effect. How can one well meaning man divert the trajectory of a democracy 2 centuries in the making. There is too much vested interest, too many entrenched institutions. But like you say, lets just hope.
