The hooves of horses!
Oh! witching and sweet
Is the music earth steals from the iron-shod feet;
No whisper of lover, no trilling of bird,
Can stir me as much as hooves of horses
~Will H. Ogilvi
The Settlers Valley Clydesdales are one of the last remaining working Clydesdale teams in Western Australia. Their aim at Settlers Valley is to preserve these magnificent horses and the skills and traditions that are associated with them.
They do this by presenting the Clydesdales at public events such as shows and festivals and seeking sponsorship to enable them to continue the dying art of presenting and driving Clydesdales.
Sam and Luke are the striking bay Clydesdales that provide the pulling power for Settlers Valley.
They turn heads wherever they go and love all the attention that they get. Sam and Luke are
accustomed to the sights and sounds of public events and have done promotional work at many Perth events, festivals and special occasions.
