A beautiful concept and capture Helen.. Absolutely fantastic :)

  • There are so many things that I love about this image but it is imperfect in so many ways as well my goal is to only improve as I go . Placement is everything then the right settings an need I to work on both lol Thanks so much for a really encouraging comment Rob it means a lot :)

I don’t remember ever seeing a bosun’s whistle being central to a piece. Mine broke. It’s the sextant I want! You PUT IT ALL TOGETHER – not easily done – from mixed real stuff. And of course, the red-gold light. Great!!! I’m gonna share it on my Facebook, where I know it will likewise be admired by many.

  • Such a cool comment so pleased it sparked your interest , most things here belong to my father inlaw but the 2 pocket watches were my old Dads they just live in my camera bag now .The sextant was bought in Hong Kong along with a few of the other things (im sure you could get one on Ebay) there is an old GI compass here from Vietnam as well he loves everything nautical dose my Father inlaw , our little girls loved playing with the Bosuns whistle Thank you for giving me its proper name an a huge thank you for sharing on facebook Richard :)
