It’s not like 1955
We are works in progress all the time
How did we get here?
Get here soon!
Our new cinematic eyes
Filter the airwaves from the lies.
We’re already grown and
Elvis has left the atmosphere.
This world’s no longer black and white,
With multimedia foresight.
Colours, fly me home!
Now listen! Here the dying age,
Spilled out and spread across the stage
That we ignored while sitting here,
So Elvis just left the atmosphere.
It’s not like 1955.
Could we all be robots in disguise?
Check for a power switch on me!
And when you go to outter space
To try and progress the human race,
Check on him while you’re out there,
Because Elvis has left the atmosphere.
It’s hard to sit and think awhile
In a world as fast as this.
Would we have really got this far
If ignorance is bliss?
Now you know,
I’ve figured it out.
