The 12th century stone church at Svenneby, Sweden, once had a doorway facing north-east, which was later no longer considered proper so it had to be closed. North was looked upon as the origin of all evil, such as witchcraft and bitterly cold winds. Inside the church, some centuries later when pews were introduced, the women had their seats along the northern wall, the men along the `safer´ southern wall. Could it be that women were considered the `stronger sex´? Or were the men cowardly enough to chose the milder and safer side for themselves…? Good questions, are they not?
Cowardly or smarter??? LOL!! Great find and capture Helua!!
Cowardly and selfish? The men were considering themselves the heads of everything by then, you know (still do to a large extent…no offence to yourself:) ) Thanks a lot Mike, my friend!:)
Excellent work and very interesting dialogue, well done!!
