Iron Age standing stones forming
a ship. It served as a burial place
and is surrounded by several low
burial mounds and stone formations.
At the time of its construction, this
place was situated by the North Sea
and could be seen by all seafarers
travelling along the coast.
The nearby farm is called Blomsholm,
and it´s on the Swedish west coast
near the Norwegian border.
The first Norwegian kings to try and
Christianize Norway came from
this area. It was part of Norway
until 1648.
