Good one, Susana! Love the tones in the cobblestones, too! Great series!

  • This is SO Salem… those cobblestones and all! So much of it is just as it was long ago! Thanks, AuntDot!!

Great find and shot, Susana! Love the little cobblestones around it, too!

(Meanwhile I’m collecting similar stuff over here – but it’s not really similar at all!! In fact, some of it is made of recycled plastic. :D)

  • Plastic? Really?!! Wow! Well, they use it for everything else! Pretty sturdy stuff. Hate to see the old metal works go away, though! They wear so well… get better with age… like us!! :-D

I’m a big fan of lines, textures and patterns, so this collection is just so inspiring to me.

  • Thank you so much, Anca! Where are you? Do you have similar kinds of street objects? Fun to collect things that are overlooked! Yes? Susana

OH this is fab all the textures grittyness and patches of colour just great.

  • This one really is gritty, huh?! Salem is so much like it was 200 years ago with the cobblestones and old houses… and, of course… the witches! :-D

Plastic, really! :) Mind you, recycled plastic. I’m still collection stuff to get a feel for the variety – so different from yours…

  • We’re seeing a lot of recycled plastic material in outdoor furniture. Very strong and bright colors! I can’t see why they won’t start making the stuff you can drive over out of it. Yours will make for a good comparison.

Yes, Susana, there are all sorts of things… One just needs the eyes to see and the means to capture… I’m in Canada, close to Toronto. All the best! Anca

  • Oh, you’re close! We spend time up in your area at Mosport (the race track) outside of Toronto. Some great RB Photographers up your way… Marilyn Cornwell and Debra Lee Wiseberg. Thanks, Anca!
