Powerful and beautiful image.
now that is one strong looking lady, very powerful painting helene x
Beautiful and really strong….may be that fist is expresing much violence in itself. Close to heart..when we drive the power via vilence, then our heart suffers as much as if it has been wounded, but it is the way around…A defensive act is natural, a defensive mood is natural too, but it is more than an emotion, it is a fixed state, where one cannot get ride of the initial violente defensive emotion, (which can save our life, nevertheless) She is overprotected….she is protecting her mind with a wonderful bonnet, giving her the power of the initiated. And she is protecting her body with a long and abundant hair that has in itself the fiery content of a burning mind. And at last she is protecting, and defiantly…her breast and heart. Strength she might posseses but an extreme weakness too. Besides that….she is protecting her lool sustaining a cold and intentional look, so I receive her…Wonderful work, Helene.Rosa

Answering your question: I have been fine;thanks for asking. I am just finishing another 48" X 48" canvas. I do not know why , but I think it is my best yet. It speaks so loudly to me and is jumping off the page-compelling to see. (IMHO). I have a couple of other paintings to get from the drawing set-up stage onto the canvas. But since I have been trying to help veterans with my new non profit, I have been busy. See us on www.newterrain.org Anyway, I am still torn between going to live in the mountains and just living humbly where I am. I think about shows but have not had one since DC 2008. Oh well, party on and keep those paintings coming. Hugs, J
wow rhino…i also moved to virginia…become somewhat of a hermit aside fro doing exhibits..i go no where anymore…just painting like a mad woman…i say if ur comfortable where u are, stay and save urself the agony of a move…i moved enough to know that, but if u feel compelled to make the move, by all means, do! Your work is so fantastic! i cannot imagine it not being shared with the world! A gallery here in Richmond has asked me to curate a show entitled “Disguised”…if you would like to put in a piece i will forward u their prospectus and guidelines. You can always mail the piece to me if u like and i will get it there, hang it and mail it back when the exhibit is over. Going now to have a look at the link u gave …. Peace
