Time is the illusion, an institution of the mind, every cell in our being is continually dying and being reborn. The intrinsic activities and moments of our lives are timeless, and the most valuable. It is the external world, and human evolution that necessitates time. You don’t see a bird, deer, snake, or fish wearing a watch, or thinking, “hey, it’s lunchtime”. They live, every moment to it’s fullest digression. It’s funny how we are always waiting, “killing” time, when inevitably it is time that will kill us. You should review some of my pieces about time, I know you use this theme a lot in your paintings. I have a six canvas series entitled, “Mass, Energy, Space and Time” which relates the concept of timelessness, or the eternal now, in relation to pure energy. I’ve just visited the Dali Museum in Barcelona (the smaller museum near the cathedal) .... you obviously share his liking for melting and warped clocks. I do hope you don’t share his excrement obsession though :) This is yet another example of your wonderful style of painting … yours is a very unique talent and it excites me to think that you have hundreds of paintings in your head yet to be painted.

Dali was (or claimed to be) obsessed with excrement, ants and crutches. Some of his paintings display all three. Glad it’s just clocks with you :)

Think that time is perhaps about to be seen in another perspective. I know on a personal level I am thinking more deeply about time than ever before. Also experiencing many surreal moments with time where it seems to be changing pace and at times standing still.
