One

I am the one who has always been
I am the one who knows all things
I am the one who has waited throughout time
see my petals now unfurling
I am the sound of one voice calling
I am the one who is calling you to come

you’re not who you thought you were
see with my eyes who you really are
your memory doesn’t serve you anymore

I am the heart of new beginnings
I am the light – the one voice singing
I am the darkness despised by you for so long
delight with me in our conversation
we’re changing what it means to be human
I am the way you will learn how to belong

you’re not who you thought you were
see with my eyes who you really are
your memory doesn’t serve you anymore

we reach across the lines of nation
the galaxies – the seas of creation
we reach across to know ourselves as one
there is no truth that needs defending
there is no life that is past mending
there is no time but now – and we’ve begun

I am the one who has always been
I am the one who knows all things

That’s beautiful Helene!! I had to sit here and read it three times before I was even able to type!!
we reach across the lines of nation
the galaxies – the seas of creation
we reach across to know ourselves as one
there is no truth that needs defending
there is no life that is past mending
there is no time but now – and we’ve begun

That right there put tears in my eyes!

Helene, I also read this three times. I had seen it a few days ago but wanted to take the time to read it properly, not rushed or anxious. It deserves to be read aloud – or sung. It speaks of those deep things which are beyond words – like music. It echoes of a Divinity, I am afraid to call by name. It is wonderful. Beyond an idea.

Much in this speaks indirectly about the veil, that is the cause of blind and deafness.
In the place of truth we are lent to distractions, given us through antiquity.
This piece gives me a better understanding of the Greek word…’to look again’-respect.
Through this piece I find ‘respect’ to have a meaning I must contemplate further.
I see it in peripheral sight. It is there, though it eludes me as yet.
To turn and look, it is gone. I will capture it.
When I do I’ll let you know.
I’ll have to fav this and meditate on it for some time I believe.

    thanks Helen.

Wow! Beautifull! I don’t know if you’ll agree, but I believe you were speaking of the true and only God, who is love, light and life

  • Helene Kippert replied

Hi lovelola. I’m speaking of the one who goes by many names – god, goddess, gaia, spirit, life. She/he is large enough to encompass all these ideas. Thanks for your comment. :o)

I don’t know Helene if this is a repost or if it has priority of place amongst your phenomenal writings but whatever the case, it’s a profoundly beautiful work, lyrical, thought provoking, full of the most amazing and comforting wisdom, a wisdom I believe I needed to find exactly today.
I am the heart of new beginnings
I am the light – the one voice singing….
there is no life that is past mending
there is no time but now – and we’ve begun

Always new beginnings no matter where we are in life…each day an offering of that hope, that opportunity. Beautifully written, lovely phrasing and perfect rhythm for a mantra of hope. Thank you!

a soul able to write these words of wisdom, is also capable to hear the echo from my heart..
for it touched me right in the middle, wishing we could all understand.

Isn’t it wonderful to find people who know! You describe what has happened between me and Spirit! You describe the process that I’ve gone through. For years I ‘studied’ but until I went into the fire (prison) I was not transformed. As I cool from being in the fire for so many years, I’m sure the changes will continue. Thank you for being able to express the wonder I feel in such beautiful words.

  • Helene Kippert replied

Yes the fire is the transforming thing – it burns away all the dross, though I have to say I’m still a work in progress. Lovely to meet you sunny – I look forward to seeing your stained glass creations. :o)

Helene, I am amazed I haven’t came across this before. Such a beautiful tribute to spirituality. I love that you wrote it in a way that regardless of a persons spiritual belief, they can relate. It played like a song in my mind as I read it.
