another beautifull image i often wonder hoe you approach your work do you have a concept of the image in your mind or dose it start out more from an interlectual place ie when writting songs i either have an idea for music then the words come or the other way round or i write a song and make music seperatly then see which words go with which music but with my art i usually have an idea first of what i want to put accross then figure the compossition from there i kind of improvise and let it take its own form but always keep the central theme at the back of my mind i will have key things i want to include draw them in first then see how the rest works round it scrapping things that dont work allong the way somtimes in my music and painting i will try and make somthing work spending days on it only to decide to scrap it altogether i once spent 3 months on a painting got half way through it an thought its just not right so painted over the whole thing and started again some of my larger paintings have up to 2 completed paintings under them

  • Helene Kippert replied

Hi don – sorry about the delay in replying. I never start out with an idea for my art – it’s a matter of going where my intuition leads me. When I have a finished piece I will start to think about a title so the thinking will come in at that stage – up til then it’s all visual play. :o)

The hypothetical non-material, imponderable medium supposed to permeate the whole of space and to transmit the waves of light, radiant heat, and electromagnetic radiation. The higher regions beyond the earth. A volatile liquid. prepared by the action of sulphuric acid on alcohol, used as a solvent and an anesthetic. Delicate and spiritual.
