Helene, I’ve been posting about the restraint of color, but this is an example of what one can do without restraint and fly. These are amazing!

Although I do representational art, I love this kind of abstract because it talks to me on that level that is energy and beyond the “thingness” of what we think we see. I feel, though your art that I can walk on the side without things and labels for them, in that world where we are passing though curtains of moving light, as if underwater or better yet, maybe “underair,” or something more heavenly.

This is the closest that visual art can get to music. I used to play stringed instruments and, like most people crazy enough to play this kind of instrument (not piano but oboe, too) you listen, not for the pure note, but for the complexity of vibration, something to take hold of the mind and soul and move it from the static world into something alive.

That is what I feel from these. I am stunned and struck and vibrated. Ahhhhh, thanks.
